stomp

stomp Some of the news on stomp are very interesting, in my opinion. For example, a recent article talks about an inconsiderate woman giving up her seat in the public train to a pregnant lady. In the end, they had a quarrel over courtesy issues and stuff. I think it’s these stompers that really show how ugly people can get when they do not put up that smiling mask. I’m not saying that people are naturally rude and inconsiderate, but there are times people should see for themselves the ugly sides of people so they can educate their children on what to look out for. There are also talkback columns on the site where people can debate and discuss about certain issues, such as marriage and what not.

The group hails from New Brunswick and throw my ears for a loop, it’s got more lo-fi bedroom charm than a plastic glow-in-the-dark ceiling galaxy or waterbed but is infused with tropical synth and percussion. Catchy melodies, baritone vocals that sound like an optimistic Stephin Merritt, and a dark almost grunge-like atmosphere make their three-song cassette tape debut an enjoyable listen. Download the entire cassette for free at Honeydrum’s Bandcamp. Also, check out the video for their song “Romper Stomp.

Included in the Vans Sk8 Hi “Paint Stomp” Pack are two simple yet classic colorways including black/white and red/white. Both of these colorways feature a canvas upper construction that is complemented by leather sock liner, and clean-looking white vulcanized sole. What make these pairs interesting are the white paint splatters that are positioned at the bottom end of the upper. These paint splatters add accent to the upper and make these pairs more attention-grabbing. Other details found on these kicks are the tonal eyelets and shoelaces, and tonal Vans Off The Wall branding on the white tongue label.
