Early indications suggest that the film could be based upon a true story which occurred in Madurai in the 1970s.

Dhanush has been doing many different roles but in this film he is doing the jobless, disobedient boy fighting with opponent and there are 3-4 scenes where he is fighting with his father on behalf of his love.
