Andhra University has been asked to conduct Icet, Osmania University Edcet and JNTU-Hyderabad has been asked to conduct Ecet.The schedule for the remaining CETs will be announced shortly. “We have advanced Eamcet by 22 days this year. will be declared within 15 days and the ranks will be announced later after taking 25 per cent weightage for Intermediate marks into consideration.The weightage for Inter marks in Eamcet will remain at 25 per cent and there will be no changes in conducting the Eamcet medical stream exam,” said Mr Rajanarasimha.The minister said the government would take necessary steps to prevent malpractices in Eamcet like last year when some students used technology like Bluetooth in the medical stream exam. “We have proposed to install jammers in the exam centres to check such malpractice. We will convene a meeting with Eamcet officials within a week to discuss steps to be taken to check malpractice,” he said.
