India south africa score

India south africa scor India will go into the third day of the second Test match at Kingsmead in Durban knowing that they will need one good partnership to go on top of the game. On the other hand, another day like the second day of the game would mean that it could be anybody’s game. One look at the scorecard here and one would realise that with the highest score of 38 despite the fall of 24 wickets, it is a difficult track to bat on. The Indians resumed on their overnight score of 183/6 and despite having MS Dhoni and Harbhajan Singh at the crease, the side failed to get going. Only 22 runs were added on the second day before the Indians were bowled out for 205. Dale Steyn, who had five wickets overnight.

Scalped his sixth to end with figures of 6/50. In reply, the South Africans were expected to do a lot better than the Indian side. Instead, once Zaheer Khan had sent back Graeme Smith for nine, the rest of the side barely got any starts. Wickets fell in frenzy there were four before lunch and the side were bowled out at the stroke of tea for a meagre and stunning 131. With a lead of 74 to their name, one would have thought that the Indians would be on top of the game. And so they were as the opening pair got to 42/0 and extended the lead to 116 without having lost a wicket. Then, Lonwobo Tsotosobe captured a couple of wickets, while Steyn and Morne Morkel got one each to push the side back to 56/4 and in trouble. Thankfully, the second innings-specialist VVS Laxman saw through the rest of the day’s play along with Cheteshwar Pujara as the Indians ended at 92/4 when bad light stopped play.
